MECHANIC
The mechanic is responsible for maintaining the fleet’s upkeep, performing necessary repairs during breakdowns, and coordinating with the operations team for essential tasks and repairs.
A typical day in this position includes:
- Conducting precise diagnostics to identify common issues with units, performing oil changes, greasing units, repairing and replacing mechanical parts, performing complete inspections according to Transport Canada’s recommendations and regulations (holding a Preventive Maintenance Program card is a plus), changing tires, and other related tasks.
Skills Description
- Looking for someone with experience in heavy-duty mechanics, relevant mechanical training, additional related training is a plus, holding a Class 1 license is beneficial, PMP card is an advantage, should be dynamic, multitask capable, autonomous, initiative-driven, meticulous, with good organizational and communication skills.
